  • Ledger Live Pixel Nano X Not Found: Follow the In-App Scan

Distinguish Saved Pixel Devices From Live Wallet Discovery

If a Google Pixel cannot find Nano X in Ledger Live, observe the scan inside the wallet application. Its current name is Ledger Wallet. A saved Android entry can outlive a usable connection, while a genuinely empty live scan occurs before code comparison and account discovery.

Start with the Pixel model, Android release, app version, and exact list you are viewing. Do not treat every Pixel generation as having identical controls or assume a successful audio accessory proves this app’s BLE discovery works.

Make the Intended Nano X Available

Charge Nano X as needed, unlock it through its buttons, enable its Bluetooth, and keep it close to the phone. End another phone’s ordinary hardware session before the comparison. A locked or unavailable signer is a different variable from the Pixel’s scan permission.

The Nano X specification establishes its smartphone Bluetooth route. Do not apply that to Nano S Plus, which cannot acquire a Bluetooth radio through Android settings.

Read device names carefully after maintenance. Ledger’s current Bluetooth troubleshooting notes that uncustomized labels can become abbreviated. A shorter result deserves deliberate identification, not automatic selection or rejection based only on its lettering.

Check the Relevant Android Grant

Open the genuine app’s information and inspect Permissions. Modern discovery can use Nearby devices, while legacy supported combinations may involve location-related access. Google’s Bluetooth permission documentation explains why app target and OS context matter.

If access is denied, correct the relevant grant and repeat the same in-app scan. If the category is absent, record whether the actual connection flow ever requested it. Do not enable unrelated Camera or Contacts permissions to compensate for an empty Bluetooth list.

If Nano X appears after the change, continue to the intended pairing exchange. Compare the full codes on both displays and cancel disagreement. A discovery success does not make an unfamiliar peer or mismatched code acceptable.

Use Pixel Diagnostics for Their Actual Scope

Google’s Pixel Bluetooth guide describes ordinary checks and Bluetooth diagnostics on eligible models. If the current phone offers those diagnostics, use the relevant supported controls and read what information a report shares.

An accessory test or successful general Bluetooth result is useful context, but it does not establish that every wallet workflow passed. Avoid posting detailed radio logs publicly without reviewing their device and personal information. Do not use audio-specific pairing instructions as a replacement for Ledger’s app-led flow.

Identify the Next Failed Stage

For example, no permission message plus no visible hardware differs from Nano X appearing and then timing out at confirmation. Keep the changed result instead of restarting the entire discovery checklist after every later failure.

When ordinary idle checks do not help, use the model’s documented stale-pairing procedure if the evidence points there. Coordinate phone, app, and hardware records as directed. Hardware factory reset and full phone reset are broader actions that do not belong as automatic responses to an empty scan.

Protect any progressing Ledger OS installation before toggles, restarts, or another host comparison. Successful USB access on a supported host tests another transport; do not call it proof the Pixel Bluetooth path is fixed.

Can Pixel Settings Show a Device the App Cannot Use?

Yes. A stored association, current discovery, and usable application session are different states. Report all three separately where relevant.

Does Selecting the Right Name Authenticate the Exchange?

Names can be similar or customized. Read the expected physical pairing request and compare codes rather than relying on the label alone.

Which Credential Belongs in a Discovery Test?

Only normal legitimate phone controls and the PIN entered on the Ledger itself as needed. Recovery words must never be entered into Pixel or a scan-repair form.
