Know the Result Before Selecting a Reset Command

For Ledger Live Nano X Bluetooth repair, Reset pairings concerns connection records. It is not the command for creating a new hardware wallet. The companion is now Ledger Wallet. Confirm that scoped objective before entering a Security menu containing other consequential controls.

A useful result is a new usable phone association with the same wallet configuration. Different private keys, a fresh recovery phrase or a new receiving portfolio are not objectives of ordinary pairing maintenance.

Confirm That Pairing State Needs Repair

Use this procedure for an indicated stale or inconsistent relationship, after checking device power, Bluetooth availability and the phone app’s permission. A missing account nickname or an unavailable online service does not establish a pairing fault.

Before cleanup, preserve the exact failing step and any useful public account references privately. Do not include the recovery backup. If Ledger OS installation is progressing, leave its session intact and complete that maintenance first.

Read the Nano X Screen at Each Selection

Unlock Nano X using its buttons. Hold both buttons to reach the Control Center, then follow Settings, Security and Reset pairings in the current Nano navigation reference. Follow the device’s confirmation and PIN instruction when requested.

Stop if the selected command concerns resetting the device or wallet rather than pairings. Do not intentionally enter incorrect PINs to trigger erasure. A long button hold and a brief two-button confirmation are different actions, so read the display instead of performing a memorized sequence blindly.

Account for the Other Saved Records

Record Scoped cleanup to review
Mobile app device entry The intended stale Nano X record.
Phone Bluetooth association The corresponding saved device relationship.
Nano X pairing state The hardware pairing command you just identified.

Follow Ledger’s coordinated repair instructions rather than clearing one side repeatedly. Removing a device association is narrower than uninstalling the app or resetting all phone network settings.

Check the Fresh Association Without a Payment

Open one intended mobile session, choose Nano X and start its supported connection flow. Keep the hardware nearby and unlocked. Compare any newly requested codes fully; cancel a mismatch and complete the matching exchange on both screens.

Test a relevant management or address-verification action. A saved system name alone does not establish that the app can communicate. If that action succeeds, avoid repeating the reset simply because a separate account-data request is slow.

For example, clearing stale radio records can restore device access while the local account list remains unchanged. That is a plausible successful pairing result. It does not mean the operation should also restore every label or provider record.

Record whether a new phone code appears after the cleanup. That helps distinguish a newly created association from an old session merely returning to view. The code itself should be checked on your two screens, not validated by a stranger online.

Nano X Pairing-Reset Questions

Does Reset pairings erase the old phone’s portfolio?

Do not assume remote data deletion. A phone can retain public account history and local files. Device disposal and account-data privacy require their own supported phone procedures.

Will this procedure work on Flex?

The purpose is similar, but controls differ. Flex and Stax use touchscreen Bluetooth removal settings. Do not apply Nano X button instructions to them or choose a factory-reset option as a substitute.

What if connection still fails afterward?

Report the exact cleared records, models, versions and first unsuccessful step. Keep the configured wallet intact. Neither support nor the app needs backup words entered into software to diagnose a new association.
