State Which Relationship You Want to Remove
To remove an old Flex Bluetooth pairing for Ledger Live, identify the obsolete phone or failed association first. Ledger Wallet is the current app branding. The objective is coherent communication records, not a new wallet identity or an empty device.
Record the failed action before cleanup. Flex connecting successfully while one account has stale history is not evidence that its Bluetooth pairing should be removed. The connection and the online account-data request are different dependencies.
Check the Warning’s Scope on Flex
Unlock Flex using its touchscreen, open Settings from the dashboard and select Bluetooth. Locate Remove pairing and read the displayed warning before confirming. The current touchscreen connection reference is the appropriate model guide.
Do not assume the command offers a per-phone list if the device does not show one. Also do not navigate to a wallet factory-reset area to achieve the same purpose. Clearing a radio relationship and erasing configured keys have different consequences.
Reconcile the Other Side of the Association
Use Ledger’s coordinated Bluetooth troubleshooting for the relevant app device entry and phone Bluetooth association. Select the intended records, rather than forgetting every accessory or resetting all network preferences.
If the old phone remains available, finish its ordinary active hardware session first. If it is unavailable, do not interpret that as a reason to disclose backup words or recreate the wallet on the replacement phone. Explain that context to official support if the new association cannot be established.
Distinguish Removed Pairing From Removed Data
| Action | What not to assume |
|---|---|
| Remove Bluetooth pairing | That all account history vanished from the old phone. |
| Remove an app device entry | That the phone’s system association was also forgotten. |
| Delete local app data | That the hardware’s saved pairing was necessarily repaired. |
Those distinctions help avoid repeating a narrow command while leaving another stale record untouched. They also prevent unnecessary loss of account organization when the required operation only concerns a connection record.
Verify the Replacement Association
Use one genuine mobile app session, select Flex and keep it powered, unlocked and nearby. Check the phone’s relevant Bluetooth permission. Start the connection from the app and compare any new codes on both displays before approval.
Cancel mismatch or an unsolicited request. Complete the requested touchscreen interaction and test an appropriate nonfinancial hardware action. A remembered system label or cached total is not equivalent to a live Flex response.
If communication now works, continue with the intended account task. If it still fails, record the exact first incomplete stage and which records were removed. Avoid broadening the cleanup simply because the result did not change.
If a removal warning indicates a broader pairing scope than expected, pause and assess which phones will need reconnecting. That is a connection-planning consequence, not a requirement to restore hardware keys. Keep the warning’s actual wording in your private diagnostic note.
Flex Association Questions
Will the same receive account remain available?
Pairing maintenance is not a key-generation operation. Verify the intended account and network after reconnection, but do not create a fresh phrase merely to make the phone discover Flex again.
Can Nano X button instructions be used?
No. Flex is a touchscreen model with its own controls. Read the actual menu and warning rather than adapting a Nano X Security-menu sequence.
When should cleanup wait?
Leave progressing Ledger OS installation on its stable supported session. Do not clear pairings, remove the host app or change cables during it. A failed device-update state follows Flex-specific continuation before ordinary Bluetooth maintenance.
