  • Ledger Live Nano X Pairing Prompts Repeat: Record the Trigger

Record When the Next Request Appears

If Nano X pairing requests keep appearing in Ledger Live, do not approve them just to stop the interruptions. The app now uses the Ledger Wallet name. Record what happened immediately before each request: app launch, device selection, phone lock, hardware confirmation or no action at all.

That trigger distinguishes an incomplete first exchange from a later connection loop. It also helps identify a request that does not belong to your current use.

Use a Request Log Rather Than Repeated Acceptance

Trigger Observation to preserve
Before opening the wallet app Whether any intended connection was initiated.
After selecting Nano X The screens awaiting confirmation.
After returning from phone lock Whether the previous association reconnects.
After every successful session Whether device records persist coherently.

Reject an unsolicited or mismatched exchange. A recognizable device label does not establish which nearby application or phone initiated the request.

Complete One Intended Exchange From Start to Finish

Prepare a single phone session and the Nano X you intend to use. End other ordinary clients’ access, unlock the device, enable Bluetooth and review the app’s required permission. Follow the current mobile connection flow instead of starting system and app pairing simultaneously.

Compare the codes completely when requested and finish the confirmation on Nano X as well as the phone. Ledger’s pairing instructions describe the model-specific sequence. A phone-side approval with a still-unanswered hardware prompt is not a completed session.

Test Whether the Relationship Is Usable Later

Use a nonfinancial device-dependent action after the exchange. Then, during ordinary idle use, observe the next intended app connection. A valid retained association can reconnect without repeating the initial code comparison.

A cached portfolio is not the required evidence because public account information can remain available without a signer. Likewise, a saved system name can remain even when the app cannot complete its own session.

Resolve Inconsistent Records With Scoped Cleanup

If the same relationship repeatedly fails, follow the coordinated app, phone and Nano X repair in the official guide. The Nano navigation reference distinguishes Reset pairings in Security settings from resetting the device itself.

Do not clear one side repeatedly while assuming the other records disappeared. Also do not substitute full app-storage deletion for a device-entry removal without a relevant documented purpose. Preserve account organization and the configured hardware.

Pair again deliberately and record whether the trigger changes. For example, requests that previously followed every app reopen but now occur only during an intentional new pairing represent a different outcome. Describe that result without claiming an undocumented cause.

Also record whether the same prompt returns without closing the app or only after another installation or user session is opened. Different local copies can make the apparent history misleading. Identify the genuine app release that initiated each request rather than assuming every familiar icon represents one continuous session with unchanged saved information.

Repeated-Prompt Questions

Can a different code be accepted just once?

No. Cancel disagreement. A connection loop does not weaken the code-comparison requirement, and accepting an unintended peer is not a repair.

Does pairing removal restore missing account names?

It changes a communication relationship. Labels and account inclusion are another layer and can need their own supported reconstruction or sharing workflow.

Can I run this cleanup during Ledger OS installation?

Do not interrupt progressing hardware maintenance with pairing resets, host restarts or app deletion. Complete that procedure first. Backup words never belong in phone fields or a support conversation to authorize a permanent pairing.
